Goals

If I'm going to start a blog about trying to get fit and lose weight, I figure I have to set myself some goals to help motivate myself.  Here they are:
  1. 5K race before the end of 2011 Did the Reindeer Run on Dec. 10, 2011
  2. Sprint triathlon in early 2012 (when tri season starts back up again)
  3. 10K in 2012
  4. Olympic distance triathlon in 2012
  5. Half Marathon (assuming I lose some weight and my knee can handle it)
  6. Full Marathon???? (that's just crazy talk!)
  7. Half Ironman???? (once again, crazy talk!)
  8. Century Ride??
  9. Fit into a size 8
As you can see, I don't have a specific goal for how much weight I want to lose.  For me, it's not about a number, it's about how I feel.  I haven't been a size 8 in at least 15 years and a size 10 may actually be a more reasonable goal for me, but I like to dream big!

Tune into this page as I cross of my goals when I get them done and check on my progress.  And feel free to kick my ass if I'm not making progress.
